It's a great place for al-fresco dining or just sitting and watching the sunset over the valley.

Stepping out of the large door in the kitchen leads you to the kitchen patio. It's paved with black limestone flagstones and surrounded with a wrought-iron fence, and is a great place for al-fresco dining or just sitting and watching the sunset over the valley.

Beyond the washhouse to the cottage is a small workshop/garage and beyond that is another, larger field which is also part of the cottage land and has our new green barn on it. On the other hand, to get to the courtyard from the kitchen patio, you can simply go through the wooden gates of the field at the front of the cottage and then across the end of the driveway.

The sloping field the patio opens onto is part of the cottage's land although the local farmers John and Bryn Roberts will usually be grazing sheep here. At the upper end of the field is a small arboretum of native UK trees, you can also walk up the slope within this field all the way around behind the cottage and then back down the other side to the rear of the washhouse. Following the steps will lead you back down into the main courtyard.

The area of field just in front of the kitchen patio can be used for fires using the metal 'firepit' kept in the washhouse building; please collect you own wood, not that in the stables for the indoor fires. No fireworks without permission please as its scares the animals.
