The sloping field the patio opens onto is part of the cottage's land. At the upper end of the field is a small arboretum of native UK trees

The sloping field is part of the cottage's land although the local farmers John and Bryn Roberts will usually be grazing sheep here. You can also walk up the slope within this field all the way around, past the tree swing, behind the cottage and then back down the other side to the rear of the washhouse. Following the steps will lead you back down into the main courtyard.

The area of field just in front of the kitchen patio can be used for fires using the metal 'firepit' kept in the washhouse building; please collect you own wood, not that in the stables for the indoor fires. No fireworks without permission please as its scares the animals.

Other Externals
Outside at the back you will see the heatpump which provides a low carbon form of heating to the all electric cottage. You will also see PV panels on the wash house and stable roofs adding to the solar hot water panels at the front of the cottage.
