Entering by the impressive wrought iron gate (Handmade by Steve Walker) you enter the flagged front yard. A recent feature is the addition of a raised patio area on the east side of the cottage, which is ideal for the morning sun.
On the right is the old wash house, which has the switch for the yard light on it, which is useful when arriving by night.
At the end of the yard is an outside toilet which is useful when you've got muddy boots on and don't want to come indoors (key inside glazed door). You'll also find the old washouse building and access to the wood store at the far end with the toilet.
