There are lots of local walks here, the best thing is to use a 1:25,000 map and make up your own walks. The area is also good for cycling, especially mountain biking. Also within walking distance is the village of Foel with it's shop cum post office and a café. Also within easy walking distance is the small Duffryn restaurant which is a few hundred yards to the right on the main road. Alternatively take the short cut, following the track across our field, which is a public right of way (the old main road in fact) down to the (modern) main road.
The local pub is the 14th century coaching in called Cann Office, about three miles away in Llangadfan, which has a nice garden for the summer months. It has recently been fully re-furbished and offers a range of real ales and great food. Also in Llangadfan is the lovely Cwpan Pinc Vintage Tea Room and village store. Whether its a full Welsh breakfast, afternoon tea or for a newspaper and a loaf of bread, its just 5 minutes drive.
